This is the first part of my collection of poppies (bot. papaver). These first poppies of the year came from Italy via my lovely florist. I couldn’t resist and just played around with them on the floor.

And after I enjoyed them for at least a week in my kitchen  I photographed the second part of this collection. Outside was still winter and this was the first glimpse of spring feeling. What a combination of fragility and strength, what contrast. And beauty!
